In Grade 9, biology content focuses heavily on genetics and cell division. Students learn about the structure of DNA, the double helix, and how genes determine traits. They are introduced Mendel’s laws of inheritance, describing dominant and recessive alleles are passed on to offspring. Classroom activities may have Punnett square exercises or extracting DNA from fruit. Students also learn the difference between mitosis and meiosis,(the diffrent split genes) understanding how organisms grow and reproduce. This stage helps them see the connection between genetics and real-life traits

biology 9 consist's a big main idea. living organsisms cells are derived from living cells. (cells in bodies can only make cells with prexising cells)
Science is worth 15-25% of you full science grade in grade 9 since they have both bio9 and chemestry9
